Fla, Ga, and several other states do the same thing.
I've seen some strange things in the states where the doctor is
supposed to report a child who is underweight as "child abuse"?
Hell I wonder if general living conditions would be considered "child
abuse".
If my kid was involved, and no evidence was found to support their
claim, they would either return my kid to me fortwith upon demand or
be faced with one nasty legal battle that's gonna cost them plenty.
