Long-term care insurance

be sensible to take out long-term care insurance that pays nursing
home costs. The company rejected me because of having TS. Does
this make sense to anyone? I've never heard of anyone having to
go into a nursing home because of it, that's for sure! We live no
longer or shorter lives than those not blessed with it. Perhaps
they're worried that I might disturb the other inmates of a nursing
home :-)

I was once initially denied disability insurance because of another benign
condition. After some corespondence, I got them to write the policy
excluding only disability due to the condition itself. Since there is no
such thing, I'm happy. Since they feel covered for claims re: an existing
condition they're happy.

successfully fought an insurance co. for coverage, and worked in the
industry.
BTW, a fellow Texan signed my guest book ... maybe you'll want to write

No, it does not. And you should challenge this with the medical director.
There is absolutely no reason you should be denied insurance for this
reason. I have LTC with Met Life, underwritten originally through my group
insurance with the Traveler's when I was working there.
