Go ahead and ban it and you will see a blackmarket develope just like
you did during prohabition. Instead of having business men selling
tobacco you will have gangsters selling it. I have the right to smoke
if I want to and I really don't give a damn what you think. I smoke my
pipe and maybe a cigar for about a month and lay it down for 5 years.
I didn't crave it but I just wanted to taste that Latakia again. Just
like Scotch Whiskey I might have a GlenLivet and Soda every 6 months.
In fact I have a bottle in the cabnet that has been in there for 2
years. I put my pipe aside in Feb of 2007 and I didn't pick it up
again until June of 2008. I don't smoke around you so it is none of
your business. Why don't you just mind your own business and you will
be busy all the time. You can say what you want on here but if I was
smoking outside and you came up to me and said something to me you
would only do it once. That is a promise.

What idiot ruins good single malt by putting soda in it?

Purists will hold their noses before they sip it, lest they start to drool
from the aroma and dilute it with their own saliva...

There already is a blackmarket.

Gangsters are selling it.

There is no right to smoke and it's illegal to smoke
in some places.

You're either a liar or you're a cigarette smoker. There are very few
smokers who are not controlled by nicotine.

Same with my GlenLivet. But what is your go-to scotch?

If smoking is so good, why do boast of not doing it frequently?

If you were a golfer would you boast how little you play the game?

> John in moderation and enjoying the finer things of life.

Nicotine use is not conducive of moderation. You have underestimated
the drug.

You must have forgotten the story of the idiot and the pepperbox.

There was this idiot who had never tasted pepper in his life.
Someone gave him a nice sandwich with a little pepper on it.
"Wow", the idiot thought "if only a little pepper on this sandwich makes it
taste so much better, lots and lots of pepper will make it taste absolutely
fantastic!!"

It goes to show that cigar smokers do like their "pepper" but they are not
idiots.

Ah, but that wasn't an analogy for smoking.
It was an analogy for enjoying things in moderation.

If you do not like smoking or if you are afraid it will damage your health, by
all means do not smoke.
Smoking is, was and probably will be for a long time to come, bad for your
health.
There is no argument in that.
Smoking has that in common with drinking alcohol, driving fast cars,
bungiejumping, visiting European soccer games and sticking your head outside
of a moving train going "Blblblblblblbl!!".
But it is all so much fun to do....

You can rest assured I wont smoke in your company.
Or go "Blblblblblblblbl!!"
:-)
