Okay, I was all excited to show you all my 12000 cigs not smoked, and so
I went back to my stupid meter to get the data and it went BACKWARDS
again! ARGH!

I don't know why it is, but on milestone dates, this thing always screws
up. It will be cooking along just fine, then it will jump backwards by
several days. Then the very next day it will go back to where it's
supposed to be, but now the milestone is in the past. :(

The crazy thing is that I could probably fix it if I could just
decompile the code, but the creator has disappeared off the face of the
earth, and it is protected. :( I've tried to write one from scratch,
but it's been little more than a giant headache.

So here's what I caught just now:

Smobriety comes to: 1Y 7M 3W 3D 0H 9Mns $-Saved to date: $2366.05
Cigs not smoked: 11980

which is roughly 1 day backwards from where it was just 20 minutes ago:

Smobriety comes to: 1Y 7M 3W 3D 23H 50Mns $-Saved to date: $2369.84
Cigs not smoked: 11999 (in 10 minutes that will be 12000!)

So I guess I'll have to check it again tomorrow....sorry for the 12K
tease! ;P

Cindy, who hates math of all kinds....

You wont to switch meters? Mine is just working fine, just a little bit
smaller than yours. LOL

what a great number 12 000 cigs not smoked, when we smoke it we don't even
realize how many we smoked over the years. Who counts the cigarettes they
smoke?

here is my meter if you wish to switch: two months, six days, 15 hours, 38
minutes and 24 seconds. 676 cigarettes not smoked, saved $277.37 to pay for
her Wii.

Your meter looks great, especially with all you've been through...I'm
afraid if it was me, my meter would be zeroing backwards and crosseyed
from all the cigarettes I would have smoked. Good for you!!!!

Sounds like i am better off doing the sums, with the aid of my
CALCULAT.EXE program! I mainly want only to keep a count of months and
weeks, nothing more.

12 thousand loads of dirty smoke you've escaped from! Can't be bad.
And look at all that lovely money ....

Congratulations.....
It's good you have a meter to hate.

Oh fooey, Cindy! It is really irritating that no Mac Wienie hasn't
gone and fixed that patch as I do know that it has a few bugs compared
to the PC version. Still, 12,000 sickerettes NOT SMOKED is worth
lighting up the sky in Texas and having a stampede of giggling gnomes
to help you celebrate this milestone!

Keep on kicking butt ~ I'm after yours. <wink>

How wonderful you have a meter that protects you against milestone cravings
but skipping right over them. LOL

Carmen, you hang onto that meter because I know how hard you worked to
get it that big. And if you keep hanging in there, yours will be as big
as mine.... I know it will! :)

Twelve thousand smokes! Imagine if someone told you you had to smoke
twelve thousand cigarettes. What would your fingers look like?
Probably yellow to the elbow. And your teeth and skin and lungs? Makes
me gag to think about it. When I think about it it seems like a no
brainer decision; except I know that it is quite an accomplishment.
Way to go!

It *is* an amazing number, isn't it? It totally grosses me out to think
of smoking 12000 cigarettes. I can't imagine ever going back to smoking
again.

Of course, that just means that I must be all the more vigilant against
the nicodemon! :)

Are you using the silkquit meter?

No, Dana. I have a Mac, and unfortunately, there aren't many Mac meters
out there. The few that do exist just suck. Oh, well...we all have to
have something to complain about, right? I should just be thankful that
my complaints are so minor! :)
