ok so im just taking a break from painting my sons bedroom (he has gone up
north to ningaloo and left me). When he comes back his room will be blue
instead of this grey checkered wallpaper that has been up since we shifted
into this house.
stoooopid me, started to paint around the edges then remembered i havent
sanded the bits where i put in the polyfilla...ahh ok well, im just going to
wait now till the paint dries, and go back in with the sandpaper.
NOw my house smells like fresh paint and not stale smoke...and i bought this
paint with the money is saved, plus i bought new curtains and a bedspread
for the boy..he had better appreciate my efforts!
also I just spilt a full bucket of water on the carpet...then i trod in the
cold water with my socks on...then i couldnt find an old towel to mop up the
water..
IM not going to let this get to me because I no longer smoke, and that was
the only thing i hated about my life...hmmm apart from being single and not
having a man around to do the painting and gardening but what the hell, i
can do it all myself. I can do anything now that i dont smoke.

LOL Jane! I am going home tonight to polyfilla the hallway (I finished
stripping the wallpaper in our little hallway yesterday) and while hubby is
away, I figured I'd get it all painted up to match the other rooms we have
done. So...yep...I'll be filling holes tonight, and sanding tomorrow,
hopefully ready to paint on the weekend!

Isn't it fun? Who needs men :-) What a great thing to do with your quit
savings though...if your boy doesn't appreciate it, make him a bed up out in
the garage and use that as your office :-)

Sorry about the water though! That sucks!

Hey, Jane,

I do all the painting around here, it just comes out better and I do faux
finishes, so I enjoy it more. You don't need a man to do it, ever heard the
old saying " A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bike"? I don't TOTALLY
agree *eg* but most of the time it's true. Have fun with it, I bet it looks
great!

LOL, Steve! I might like to see that....... It would make a good tee-shirt!

No offense to the gentlemen here, no harm meant. I just like to do stuff
myself. But there are things that are much more fun tandem, ya know..

BTW, Great work on the video, a BIG difference!
