came and took my complaint about Lask. She had not taken any of the
messages seriously. Neither had anyone else. She did advise (not command)
that I avoid posting to this group at work so as to not give the mental
cases something to carry on about. In another words, it amounted to
nothing. It caused me no trouble, gave me a chance to look good to my boss,
and well, now a few nutcases are a bit better known. In fact, in the past,
she has simply responded to complaints (Arune) by instructing people as to
how to kill file. I didn't even know about that one.
So, once again, people should learn that they only make themselves look bad.
They won't....but, that is not my problem.

housing. We were both homeless in 2001 but I got back on my feet and
have been paying my own way since February 2002. You still live in a
residence of case-managed former homeless people so the taxpayers

my life early on was not easy i sent a few to the hospital
before i discovered i was the one in control of my life, i was
in the driver's seat. The direction a person takes their life in
is dependant on how hard one is willing to work to achieve the
level of happiness they will be satisfied with.
Some people work at maintaining a high maintenance life.
Others are happy with 2 Akers and a mobile home and a garden in
the back yard.
That life appeals to me and my girlfriend, we could have that in
ten years. it's worth waiting for. Even if it means no internet
for a few years it's worth it home grown veggies and catfish out
of the river 2 miles away.
I like people but if they are a 10 mile bike ride away that is
fine with me also.

worked on the project I used to worked on, who all had access to surgical
benefits (four still do) two of us had SRS. One, who is currently not
working, has said she wants surgery (she is fighting with UCSF over being
terminated). The others have simply not had enough motivation. Some have
talked about it, one even took a trip to meet with a surgeon, but I
seriously doubt any will actually have SRS. Not that there is anything
wrong with that. But, they are all full time, living and working in a

I was a punching bag for a line of school bullies. I learned to avoid

trace route, seems that it can track Ips across the world, evn going
back thru the stripped ans added digits for route and package
ibformation, Developed years ago for the FBI. And while you have to be

own mind the fact that I no longer belong here as well. The constant
strife between individuals that descend into flame wars and disclosure of
personal information make this place no longer special, safe, or
supportive for those of us who have completed our transitions and moved
on to build new lives or for any new people coming in. That's a shame
too. I worked hard to try and give back something to a process that
helped me at the beginning of my own transition. Seems as though that
level of support is no longer welcome here. I need to take a break and a
shower. I feel dirty just being here.
Y'all enjoy your mudwallow. It's time for me to move on. Kill files are
glorious but in here it seems kill-filing would result in no signal at
all at this point. Be well and try to come up for air sometimes.

Yes. Shoot, an increasing number of transsexuals are working at UCSF. The
surgical benefit, and the fact that it is easier to get on than at the City,
is bringing them in. Of course, that said, the City is also an option if
one really wants SRS. If nothing else, they were recently hiring bus
drivers.

Mable's argument makes no sense. Five years ago, I was looking into ways of
financing my surgery. Even today, Mable does not seem to have made any real
efforts. Four years ago, I was starting back to school, so I could earn the
money. Three years ago, I was on the verge of going to work at UCSF,
knowing it would pay for my surgery. It doesn't happen overnight, but it is
doable.

That is good, it's nice to see that bennifit being used.
It's nice to see people get the surgury they need.

There are differences, in attitude and socialization.
One thing we don't seem to have any control over are the
increasing numbers of gender queers who are having SRS and want
nothing more then to stand out.

I have always felt they claim to share our experiences because
we are more acceptable in the mainstream then they are. Everyone
can easily identify with a birth defect, they find it harder to
identify with a consious choice to change sex or claim to change
sex.

You know, if, as some claim, this were my entire life, I would be one truly
sad person. But, it is not. Still, it is said how nasty some people can
become. Mable has earned my disrespect. Which is kind of ironic, because
Mable is trying to bully me into respect. Kind of a vicious circle.

Yeah you're right, I am not a bit like you. I have actully worked as a
woman most of my adult life, with most coworkers oblivious to my
transsexualism. I lived that way in the South, in the NorthEast,
in the Pacific NorthWest, and in the SouthWest, in small towns, cities,
and in the deep country. I have lived as a woman.
You never have -- and likely never will. And that's the truth you
cannot bear.

I think that plays a major factor. But they don't help themselves, or us.
If it really is a birth defect, you want to have it corrected. If you don't
feel the need to have it corrected, then it is not a birth defect.

As for how "low" I have "sunk", I reckon that depends upon one's
perspective. I must say I do not care much for your perspective lately.
My perspective is simple:
This is supposed to be a support group.
Anyone who wishes to use it as an oppressive forum for some religious
idea of transsexualism (i.e. You, Jennifer, Sue, etc so far lately) is
NOT safe here. Anyone who is decent and respectful of others and their
differences will be fine. I have simply lost the willingness to
tolerate bullies like Jennifer Usher.
If you don't like it, piss off.
