I have been away for a bit due to the holidays but wanted to add some
more data to the pile on diet and psoriasis.
About 8 weeks ago i began pagano's diet. it was really hard for me to
stick with because it is pretty strict, therefore i stick with it most
days, but cheat here and there. I am primarily cutting way down on
fats, and only eating the proper meats and no nightshades. Because my
diet was so horrendous before, this is pretty major for me. I feel like
a rabbit! But, believe me, i cheated on thanksgiving, x-mas and a few
other holiday parties.
The results so far?
Well, for one reason or another, My whole upper body (everything but
legs) is almost totally clear. I have been supplementing with dovonex,
psorcon cream, and tazorac in just a few small areas, certainly not
everywhere that is cleared. I have noticed that in spots that used to
not respond to creams, now respond in just a few days and can be
totally cleared. It is winter, it is usually the worst right now. I am
hopeful and have decided to stick with the diet for a lot longer to
keep experimenting.
One theory i have is that the diet is causing the plaques to
be "weaker" and that the creams do the final zapping of it.
I have decided to not go through UVB as i was considering. I would
rather treat it this way. It is important to note that I am not
following all of what pagano says, just about 60%. I would not be sane
if i followed it much more.
Thanks for listening!
Jen

Actually you are also allowed lamb according to the diet. But always
try to cut off excess fat. I dont think cheating a bit is necessarily a
big problem, like maybe having an occasional piece of very lean beef.
Not sure, as i think it differs for everyone.
Let me know what other information you want, i am happy to share. I eat
a lot of vegetarian meats like breakfast sausages, and chicken patties.
You could also try veggie burgers etc...And i know they have turkey
sausage etc...
Good luck!
Jen
ps. i also had prime rib for x-mas eve and it didn't seem to matter,
hence that is why i think it is different for each person. maybe meats
aren't my big problem, maybe it is the deep fried foods and sodas etc...

Congrats Jen it's great to hear you are improving, and won't need the light
treatments. I wish you continued success.

My nickname is Mikhail Inq, I am russian, I live and work in Moscow.
Almost 40 years I have psoriasis.
I have 30-year's positive experience of a elimination diet and
cleansing methods.
As a consequence, my psoriasis is insignificant.
Now I have one-year positive experience of Pagano regimen
(cleansing,elimination diet, teas etc.).
In Russian Internet there is very few of information devoted to a
psoriasis.
In may 2000 I have based and I support a russian site "Psoriasis as
intestinal disease" - www.psora.df.ru.
On this site I have presented brief translation 5, 6 and 7 chapters,
and also some Appendixs from this book.
In Russia the treatment of a psoriasis of this method only starts.
The information and exchange of experience is extremely necessary (not
only for Russians).
When you decide (may be after 2-3 months) that you have positive (or
negative) experience of application Pagano
regimen, please, fill special form www.psora.df.ru/form_qa_e.html (on
English - of course)
Your answer (on English) will be placed on "Exchange of
Experience" page www.psora.df.ru/eoe.html. Read this page.
The translation (on Russian) - on page www.psora.df.ru/que_ans.html
It will help to other with treatment from a psoriasis.
Best wishes for you.
