I got it taken tonight at the mall photo booth.
What does everyone think of Rikki? Do we look happy together?

See pics on my blog. Im too lazy to make a poll.

She would be cute without these glasses.
Which means she's cute.
Nah -- glasses refract the light, so the image I perceive of
bespectacled folk is a little distorted.
She reminds me of the other girlfriend whose photo you posted.

Yeah. Your smile is even less creepy than it was before.

whyeee?
you mean you couldnt see our loev by lookin at our feets?
when a man puts his lappy on yours, it means something.
pee esss
haha...
no.. not upset... Just articulating, what everyone else here is
thinking ;)
I'm quite proud I had a moment of clarity.
You posted in response to Rainier who posted an image of himself and
his girlfriend. His posts have a "ring of truth" about them that yours
do not....
that was all I was remarking on.
Some people here dont even think you exist.
I think you do (exist), but really.... I'm not surprised some people
here doubt you do ;)
> She reminds me of the other girlfriend whose > photo you posted.
For those who wish to compare and contrast, here is the correct link to
the pic of my new girlfriend:
http://www.angelfire.com/film/rainier/girlfriend/
And here is the link to pics of my ex-gf:
http://www.angelfire.com/film/rainier/ugly/
Personally I see no similarity and think the new girlfriend is a major
upgrade. I went from offal to Filet Mignon IMHO. What do others think?
> Yeah. Your smile is even less creepy than it > was before.
Thank you. I think I look a lot healthier and happier now that I'm
actually attracted to my gf.
My old Hot Or Not photo scored a 3.5 but I'm up to a 6.1 with the new pic.
Meanwhile Rikki scores
a 4.25.

> She would be cute without these glasses.
You're right. She's much hotter without the granny glasses. Next time
we're at the mall, I'll suggest a photo sans glasses.
For Valentine's Day, one of her friends took several pictures of us with
his digital camera. There's even one of us kissing! Once he e-mails them
to me, I'll be sure to post them to the ng.
-rainier
Take off your glasses for photos anyway! There's a glare on the glass
that obscures the subject -- so it's not vanity to remove one's specs
for a pic.
I think it's your connection to her, and what's in her heart, that
matters....and those things don't show in a photo.
ok. :)
oh yeah and what is EVERYONE thinking?

Firstly, congratulations on having found someone special
I am curious though as to why you are so concerned about what readers of
this newsgroup
think about your girlfriend.
As long as you are happy together, why give a damn about everyone else
thinks.
Also why so much interest in the Hot or Not rating ?

In which region of the country do you live?
I notice they are both dark-skinned, Filipino or Samoan maybe? Certainly
not black.

If you are happy, that's all that matters.

Certainly not black.
Huh? Did the original link not work? Rikki is definitely black:
http://www.angelfire.com/film/rainier/girlfriend/
Doreen, the uberobese ex, is half black, half Mexican. Although I agree
she looks Samoan.
> In which region of the country do you live?
Ironically enough, I live in a lily white area. The black population is
only 2%, the Hispanic population is too miniscule to warrant a percentile.
Yet my last three gfs have all been either black or Hispanic. It's more
coincidence than anything. White chicks hate me yet black chicks really
like me . . . I can't explain my appeal.

Is that girl real? It looks like you're posing with a cardboard cutout.
That "hand" of "yours" doesn't look lifelike - it looks like it's
printed on same cardboard.

Part of it is the outsider's obsession with normalcy. Another reason is
this is my only social outlet where I get to be myself. I mean, I can't
just go up to strangers on the street and say, "Hey what do you think of
my girlfriend? Isn't she pretty?" But here's it acceptable.
> Also why so much interest in the Hot or Not > rating ?
Ever since the 1992 Presidential election, I've been obsessed with polls
and ratings. I love to quantify everything.
Shyness has stunted my emotional growth. By examaning public opinion
polls, I can craft a more user-friendly personality that will win me
friends. Or to put it another way, my desire to win friends is akin to a
politician on the campaign trail trying to win votes.

I am still not convinced that our darling pnats is who she says she is. It
is ok if she isn't.

I laughed. I cried. I puked my guts out.

Thank you for the reply.
Can I ask you though, if the majority of people said that they thought your
girlfriend was
unattractive and just very ordinary.
Would you break up with her ?

you really wouldnt want to know ;)

curiously, not the first person to post that link...
or indeed the first person to express doubts as to who you *really* are
;)
maybe I was Agatha Christie in a previous life, but I find it all very
very interesting. Or as you might say, belly belly intrestink.

what a shame this reticence doesn't extend to more areas of your life
that you insist on boring us with.

*yawn* what makes you think any of us here, really care?

a legend in your own head perhaps, but that's about it.
I'm SO sorry, I dont just blindly accept the caricature you so lovingly
portray on here. It must be very annoying. Far more entertaining to
find the chinks in your persona, and dig around for what's really
underneath.
You *surely* cant be surprised, if you present yourself as a "usenet
legend" not to get shot at? sticking your head above the parapet and
all that?
> if the majority of people said that they > thought your girlfriend

I am a pragmatist, not a gambler. If I break up with Rikki, I could
literally spend the rest of my life alone. So I cling to what I have.
Now if a skinnier chick came along, I would jump in a heartbeat. But it's
shortsighted to break up with a chick when you don't have a replacement in
line. Kind of like quitting your job out of pique: a stupid thing to do
because you don't know how long until you'll find another.

Mmm... yes... *terrible*.. this is what.. the THIRD TIME Ive responded.
GOD this whole thread is taking over my life!!
whatever am I to do?
Hmmm... I suppose I could take my mind off it all, by posting about the
intricacies of my own love life in very poor English (for "artistic
style" of course), for the betterment of all my fellow shybies who
ain't getting none.
Yes, that seems like a splendid idea!

is that the best reply you can come up with? *shakes head*
and a "usenet legend" and all!
I'm deeply deeply disappointed in you.
ps. Im not interested in being memorable. Remember, I'm not setting
myself up as a usenet legend, so I can be as crap, and unmemorable as I
wish.
you on the other hand have a title to live up to ;)
Please do better next time.

It's not the link, I was only able to see her face and not all of her. So
my assumption is based on conjecture...

Did you know I live in the 50th State? There are a lot of non-white
minorities here. Personal experience.

So... deep South then. ?:-\

That doesn't mean anything at all. Doreen looked happy enough

about Rikki).

One possible explanation is supply/demand. White girls have higher
market value, and can look for a better deal.
I put this in such terms because you yourself are quick to commodify
your 'acquisitions'.
Also, young black girls are (I would imagine) beaten down by life, to
some extent. They are not white princesses who believe that they are
owed the world.
