So I've been off my meds for about ten days now, at first it was iffy,
then bad, then real bad...then okay...and now I'm going between good
and short lasting lows throughout my days. ...doesn't matter that
much, I'm going to get back on them as soon as I can get back into the
docs... But anyways, I've been getting this random dizziness lately.
At first, it was only when I moved my head too fast, or the like...
but its slowly been getting worse...and now its almost constant... its
like a migraine, only instead of waves of pain through my skull, its
just waves...waves of dizzy haze in a way... I don't really know how
to explain it. Its not disorienting, I'm able to think clearly, speak
clearly, and walk well...I'm completely coherent...but it feels dizzy
all the time. ...like the feeling of being drunk except completely
aware and in control... I'm not quite sure what it is... sometimes, it
feels so thick that I'm slightly afraid that I'm going to faint, or I
have to stop moving for a moment... its strange, and slightly
unsettling. Venture thinks that its because I abruptly stopped my
meds...I'm not sure...but there's no other explanation, really...

I was wondering, has anybody else gotten side effects like this? I'm
taking(was taking) Celexa(generic version), so if anyone knows if this
is caused from that, please let me know.

Thanks,
Crannette

It's from stopping the meds too fast. It's a kind of vertigo.
Effexor withdrawal does that, too, only ten times worse. I
hope you get back on your meds soon.

I would say it is most likely from stopping the meds. You can read all
about discontinuation syndrome with the SSRI's (and SNRI's). It's not
fun stuff. Fortunately, it doesn't tend to last forever, and going back
on the meds will usually fix it too.
