followed by an even worse evening. An internet friend of 14 years
died of cancer recently. I found out this morning. She had finally
been able to go home from the hospital, so I was encouraged. She
didn't live very far, and I anticipated visiting her as soon as
she was up to it. This afternoon, I went to a group and talked
about it some, and a guy who spoke after me just lost his teenaged
son to suicide. I came home to a drink, and that was probably a
mistake. I want to die more than anything else, but cutting would
be a close second. It would be so very easy to die tonight, but I
can't do that to my family. I don't know what I'm going to do.

Oh dear. I am so sorry to hear of your bad news. That just sucks. I
wish I could do more for you than type meaningless words on the
computer. Please know that I am (as my grandmother would say) holding
you in my heart during this rough time. Perhaps a call to the crisis
center would be a good idea?

If tonight's anywhere near as bad as the past 2 nights have
been, I will call crisis folks. I'm pretty sure they'll want me
to go in for an evaluation. I don't want to have to go in-
patient, but if this doesn't let up soon I might have to.
Thanks, Emily.

Sorry I am not getting back to you sooner. I hope you are safe
wherever you are. I have started working (only three days a week, and
really only half days at that), but it means I have almost no computer
time anymore at all. Perhaps you are inpatient, perhaps not. I hope
you are taking care of yourself though. I'm still thinking of you.

Thanks, Emily. I ended up ok enough to stay out, and am a bit
better now. Good luck with your job!

I'm glad you stayed o.k. enough to stay out, and am glad you are
feeling better. I hope you continue to feel better and better. My
job is going well. I am doing very well and am getting good jobs--I
am being put into supervisory positions a lot, but it is still a
sheltered workshop, so I am never the boss boss, so that totally takes
the pressure off. Plus, I can't make too much money, or I lose some
of my benefits, so It's good that I don't work many hours and that I
don't always get paid minimum wage. (Although, I am often given the
better paying jobs that are minimum wage jobs).
