Christmas morning started out pretty busy..Lots of phone calls for my mother
and father wishing them a good Christmas.I had a bit of a hangover (not much
just a bit) so avoided the phone...Then a strange thing occured.. i think my
mother has assumed the position of Godfather (or God mother) of our
neighbourhood since she retired.. Because neighbours from up and down the
street trickled in dropping off gifts (or "contibutions") maybe, while
wishing her the very best christmas.All we needed was Fat Tony and Jimmy
"The Greek" turning up with steaks to complete the scene.Other friends and
relatives dropped in for a while and then my folks were off to my uncles and
aunty's place leaving me to devour the left overs here and spend a quiet but
enjoyable afternoon to myself.After today i enjoyed the bit of peace and
quiet.

Drinking my Spanish coffee and watching the burning log on TV this
morning, which is my Christmas ritual. In the early afternoon I go see
a movie with my brother.
