I don't think so...having a relationship takes so much from a person
and when a person is ready, he/she will take the initiative. I'm 26
and have never had a long term relationship with anyone. I've come to
realized I don't think it makes me a bad person, I look at it as time
to heal, learn, and grow from those relationships I've experienced. I
recently discovered I have BPD and that's why my short term
relationships and friendships ended it the way it did. My intentions
are never to hurt anyone, but often times negativity enters into my
thoughts and the pain from my past forces me to see things that really
aren't there. I have trust and anger issues that I'm working on, but I
hope that I have more good days than bad. We aren't perfect in any
way, nor is it realistic to believe we should fit ourselves into
little boxes that society sets on everyone else. In honesty, I would
rather remain happy and single, then together with someone who doesn't
match me very well.
Quick answer from me, but no, I don't think everyone who has not had any
long term relationships are screwed up. It's a screwy world and I've had
long term relationships and I'm fully screwed, so that's hopefully a comfort
to you!
