I have been part of a group testing Namenda (Memantine) for depression at Mt
Sinai Hospital. This drug is normally given for Alzheimer's disease.
Surprise..... my hording stopped. I should point out that I take 6 pills
per day. Apparently a few peer reviewed articles have recently been written
on Namenda and OCD. Definatly something to check out.
Thanks very much, Count! I'll look into that. If you'd care to give any
more details of the trial or what happened, I'd very much appreciate it.
Sorry about the alt.paranormal.crop-circles people. They've been at it for
weeks now, there's no getting rid of them.

Hey, will definetely have to check that out. *Thank you* very much for this
bit of info. Most encouraging...

Hi Dave, didn't know you were here.
A. B.
Yeah, been lurking for a while. Not much going on, really, but I'm around.
:)
I frequently try use my OCD for helping me focus on things that need to be
done (or that I want to get done) so it's not *too* much of a problem.
Still, I tend to to collect things (like books and misc. junk related to my
hobbies) so that little factoid was most interesting. The wife has admitted
that she admires the way I can focus on the job at hand with a single-minded
devotion, and doesn't realize this is a bug and not a feature. :)
Hanging in there...
Dave
