Of course just because it is on the net - does not mean it is true.
I would love some focus on OCD in the UK though.

Doesn't seem likely. John Ward's story doesn't add up. His claim is that
Gordon Brown is taking MAOIs for OCD and depression. MAOIs are hardly ever
prescribed for either of these. The first line of defence for either
condition is SSRI-class antidepressants. If those don't work, some doctors
may try the SNRIs, tricyclics or even an atypical antipsychotic like
Risperidone, but I've never heard of MAOIs being used for OCD. Mr Ward's
remarks about the repetition of phrases being an "obvious symptom" is sheer,
infuriating bilge. They're called slogans. It's an annoying habit shared
by every politician in history.
Mr Ward's evidence seems to consist mainly of an unnamed "civil servant"
saying that Mr. Brown's doctor had forbidden him to have cheese, Chianti or
avocadoes. People taking MAOIs mustn't eat these things, so Mr. Ward
insists that the thing is settled. "Dave Weeder" made a good point on
http://www.thefirstpost.co.uk ;
"There's a much simpler explanation for Brown's "forbidden foods" than being
prescribed a drug which is now considered dangerous. Red wine and cheese are
also migraine triggers."
So, I seem to remember, are avocadoes.
I'm in the UK too, but this group is lucky if it can muster anybody from any
country. (Except the alt.paranormal.crop-circles people - sorry about
that). There's a uk.support.mental-health, but there seems to be hardly
anyone there either except me.
Cheers,
A. B.

Hello again! I'd almost forgotten about that. Yes, that does seem rather a
silly thing to describe as OCD.
Still what you might call quiet on here, isn't it?
How's your OCD going on? Hope you're not having too much difficulty.
All the best,
A. B.
Beleieve me, THAT I remember. Like he was some kind of a Anime monster
or something. But that was pre-liver & onions time, I guess.
