I was just watching former FDA commissioner David Kessler on CNN, and
he was talking about how salty, fatty, and sugary foods create a
craving in the brain, leading to the same neurological responses as
psychoactive drugs.

This may actually be true, but consider the implications of treating
obese people like drug addicts. Do you really want the government
telling what you can and cannot eat?

Kessler even suggested that the solution for obesity was 'rehab,'
which I would describe as a re-education camp. What other personal
behaviors would Kessler and other 'concerned scientists' like him want
to treat?

Anyway, one can be sure that under national health care, involuntary
rehab for food and drug addictions will be fully covered.
