Saw an astounding piece on the local ABC station the other night.
Johns Hopkins has been trying a new treatment for MS. One doc calls it
the the "control-alt-escape" of the immune system. They've been giving
patients chemotherapy drugs (that I presume are normally used in
leukemia). The kill off all the white cells, until the count is clear
down to zero. Obviously this makes the patient temporarily very
vulnerable to all kinds of things, so I presume that they keep them in
isolation. After a couple of weeks, the white count comes back up to
normal and the patient is released.
The study is not complete, but preliminary results show that 1 - 3
years after treatment, 90% of the patients have no symptoms of MS. May
God grant that it is so!

Sorry, didn't have the link available when I posted the previous
message. Here it is:

(If a return sneaks into that URL, take it out.)

Be patient, you may have to sit through a couple of commercials
before you see the video. But it WILL be worth it.
