As the title in the link suggests, daily or even weekly use of talcum
powder has been linked to an increase risk of ovarian cancer, especially
in women who are overweight or using HRT. The women at risk are the 10%
who have a certain genetic marker.
(I wonder if it is my use of "talcum" as a search word that has given me
only British English hits? I did find one US link:

Well, it does make sense. I was warned against using baby powder
way back in the 70's, as both baby and mother can get lung problems
- rather like asbestosis - from breathing it in. And it has been
linked to thrush-like itching in women. The body just isn't built
to get rid of fine minerals.

Never knew any of this.
Did a quick Google search and found many other websites on the
subject:

I have an old bottle of baby powder in the house and will throw it
away.
Thanks for posting this, Keera.
