Mirena - is it the answer ? 
  Hi all I'll try to make my story short. My cycle has always been regularly 29 to 31 days, with 5 to 6 days of flow. The first change was in December 06 (at age 50 and 7mths) when I bled for 25days of a 38 day cycle. A scan was done and a D&C followed to remove a thickened endometrium.
