A colleague started caughing real bad today. Hearing her I immediately recognized the cough.
EEEK! She got the bug!!!

But then I caught it from a friend of hers that came to visit...a colleague that moved to new
organization and came back to get her things and never came by to say hi. I learned later she
had come over in daytime, because another colleague hearing me talk a few days later said I
spoke exactly like X who came to visit the week before...Eeew....

I then kenw everyoen woudl get it. I justc atch it faster than others.

Anyway. Told this colelague that was coughing bad suddenly to not fiddle with it and to take
care of it right away.

Had quiet last two days, before the rush we are expecting of one of the due bunches of last
199 texts.
Used the tiem to try and sort out through emails of years gone by.

So many names, so many retirement anouncements, so many faces that left through the years,
amazing....

Two dead ex colleagues among...
I mean that still worked with us then...
Maybe tohers died since that we never knew about.

Awful, how people can spend years together working, and then never see or speak to each other
again...

Oh well....


Today,had lancing pain in one ear, the right one still...
Had itchy ear like madness, but was sudden lancing pain...

Am fine when at home now but the second I go to work, I start coughing like in the minute I
walk on our floor...

I am pretty sure they ahve soemthign bad there in the air...

Many floors are already empty,since they are closing the building down for major ''repairs''
(I suspect decontamination), and me thinks they started decontaminating whatever it is without
waiting for everyoen to be gone, to try and save time and most of all MONEY: the faster they
get it doen, the shorter they stay without renting money:(...

Claritin never helped my allergy to citrus; but in despiar, looking in my handbag, I saw I had
a few and took one one evening when still caughing, and i spent a wonderful night with no cough..
No itchy ears, no feeling of infected throat inflammation...

I then suspect I am reacting to soemthing other than only the allergy to citrus, if that oen
remains of course.

and the fact my right ear is affected incredibly more than the left one, same with sinueses on
right side, throat on right side, etc, -the side of my door at work- makes me doubly think it
is work related...

The bastards woudl of course never tell us if there was any asbestos, spores, etc, int eh
building to not be sued...

I shoudl try and talk with oen fo the maintenance guys I know to ask them to try and find out
for me...

Would hate to ruin my halth for ''good'' when only a few weeks are left to work there!:(

No news in that regard....Two places are doing verifications for a clearance, each at a
different level...

One in my field, but quite a commuting distance, or rather, TIME, in traffic, having to cross
two downtowns and then a bit to get there, the other not in my field and closer to my place,
same city as me...
Other one in a different 'filed', more like various office tasks, financial, stats, collecting
data etc, for people...doing my work, i.e. for people writing the reports I could write better
with my eyes closed...

The oen in my field might call me for some exam anytime between now and...six months.
They stretch their process over many months, probably short on staff;-).
Could actually be up to a year and even more I was told, because they give different exams,
then tests to evaluate this and that ability and so on...
Have not done exams in the field in ten years now.
I read that tehy do not go by same terminology and requirements as rest of places from that
same employer... Migth be a good thing, depending on if they have terminology that makes sense
or forces words onto people even if they are not the best pick, as happens with same employer in
usual offices.

But partof the job is exactly to establish terminology, and that I did quite a lotof before.
Am good at it. Dunno how it will show in a test, but darn,I picked that field because I am
good at it, nah.

Shall see. Whichever is best, I take it, will come my way.

Spent evening playing scrabble. Never had played before this week, so am still learning about
the triple value of letters and double of words and so on.

I see that tose who play with me a second or third time learn from my own choice of words in
past games, so much so, after they never did before in first games, that I think they are
learnign more new words than I am;-). Soem are amazingly good players.
But I count on beating them most times in about a month from now, when I have elarned and no
longer have to think about where the triple letters and the double words sqaures are:)
I play like 40 games at once to learn faster:), and because it is otherwise too slow to wait
for the other to play;-).
They probably do the same.
