Hi there,

I had a very peaceful moment last night while I was folding a lily
flower and other objects (ORIGAMI). I enjoyed paper creation objects
when I was a kid and for some reason I lost that part of me in this
purpose-oriented society. For some reason, I thought about creating
some projects and I did, I felt so peaceful and happy during the time I
was folding those art work.

Out of my curiosity, I went online to check some more origami info this
morning and was surprised to find out that some therapists and
hospitals actually use ORIGAMI as a way of therapy. I think this is
really encouraging for me. Now I have more reasons to enjoy paper
craft.

I have tried various ways to calm myself down during the time of
troubles, so far, engaging in origami is the best solution for me. All
I need is a piece of paper, just an old newspaper or ad paper can
become a great object in my hand. What a self-discovery! I am
thinking, for the first time in my life, I am in the mood of decoration
for the holidays with my origami projects.

I am still between east and west and have not figured out where I need
to go next, but I have found a peace of mind in my paper folding and it
is my honour to share this self-discovery with you.

Have a great week.

JJ

I think any craft, of construction is good therapy, and a good
relaxing thing to do. You have something to hold after you have
finished. It can be anything.

Hi JJ..
I would love to see some of the things that you are creating..
and in my opinion.. it is in the creation of anything that is solid..
from crafting to painting to building that helps alot when you are
stressed..
it uses energy and also leaves you with a feeling of accomplishment..

I'll keep this in mind for when I can use 2 hands again instead of
one:-)

Well, good news, I'm out of the cast, just have some supporting bandage, it
seems it wasn't broken "just" severely bruised. I still can't do much but
it's a lot easier than having a cast :-)

I'm glad to hear that! A bandage still isn't quite as bad. Can you remove
it?

I can remove it and am supposed to do so at night. It's just a round stretch
thing that you can pull on and of like a glove.
Funny, I never saw my post myself, I thought it was floating around in
cyberheaven :-)
