I am needing some advise.
I am have posted before about my LD being tested for only year and three
month. And I have done a 180 in my grade in College I was senior.
Brought gpa from 2.0 to 2.3 high enough to get into grad school
however I want to transfer I got a 3.5 first semester in grad schoolbut my
gre scores a way too low to get into grad school at TX tech or LSU.
I am wondering what I should do. They say I could not do good in
grad school because of low gre and I am never ever going to think of
taking it again I do extremely bad on standard test.
I am working on an nonthesis degree but I have gotten more interested in
doing a thesis but I have no interest in researching about chickens
Christine
Thanks for any advise
Chrstine,
I was also diagnosed as LD and told I have a Right Hemisphere Dysfunction.
I was fortunate to find a Psychologist using a program that is customized for individuals called REHABIT. Its an acronym for the
Reitan Hemisphere... Anyway, its based on the work of a neuropsychologist named Dr. Reitan. It has truly given me a life.
Its not merely a compensatory system or avoidance, but actually seems to retrain or activate parts of the brain that are not working or
working properly. The list of what I can do now as opposed to 3 years ago is too long to list. I had an undergrad of 2.0 and in third
year hit 3.5. I'm doing an MBA now and have >3.0 while working 12-15 hours a week.
I don't do my exams in extra time, although I wrote my GMAT in the extra time format, but only went over by one or two minutes on
one of the sections. Look for a psychologist who practices REHABIT. Psychiatrists apparently don't use it.
Good Luck,
