I like the look of the Jofa. Can anyone who has one say if it is
bigger or smaller than, say, the bike grey cup and does it tuck
underneath more?
None of the pictures show it from the back or much from the side.

Definitely bigger, if by that you mean "protruding". It definitely is a
more obvious cup. It is probably about the same as the Bike in width, but
the design makes it feel narrower. It may be a personal opinion, and others
may disagree, but I think it does provide more protection from the bottom --
it seems to me that it wraps up and under. Final comment -- it is much more
contoured than the Bike, it really fits provided you are one who prefers to
"dress down".

Gunny, I don't quite understand how you mean "dress down".
Would you clarify for me please?

The Jofa is one of my favorite cups, even though it's a bit bulky and
doesn't fit as snugly as some of the others. It's pretty imposing when
worn by itself, but I don't think it's so noticeable under loose jeans.

Enjoy!

Well...
Got it today.
A bit disappointed really as it was shown as the one in all the
pictures (white, lace-up etc). The one which arrived is dark blue and
completely different. New model?? All in one with waist band. Padded
inside and out and, to be honest rather small internally.
Somehow the bulge is big but the inside is very small.
I do like the way it tucks under but it is not roomy enough.
Is the old type no longer available?

To "dress down" may be an older man's term. It means to put the penis in
its natural down position, hanging down over your gonads. Some guys choose
to "dress up", meaning they point their penis "up" under either briefs, a
jock or a cup.

Have sent an email, will have to wait and see what they say.

Have now worn it for some time but it is really much too small,
although I like the shape and would like the fit.
I certainly dont think I am any bigger than most, apart from waist
size, perhaps!

Has anyone else had this one and is the original white plastic one
bigger inside?

Hi DeeJay:

Sorry you were disappointed in the JOFA. I was curious, so I looked
up the site where you bought it:

http://www.skateattack.co.uk/jofa-ac830-moose-head-jock-p-437.html?manufacturers_id=199

What you describe does not match the photo. For comparison, here are
a couple of links on this side of the pond:

http://www.internationaljock.com/jofa-hockey-cup,3520.html

http://www.hockeydogs.com/jofaac830hockeygoaliecupandsupporter-senior.aspx

I have a JOFA in my collection, and it definitely matches the photos.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Regards,
Alan.

Does your cup look anything like an 8830?

Its actually this one:

http://www.thehockeyden.co.uk/genital-protectors/rbk-8k-support

I think its the extra padding that makes it smaller??

I have now placed an order for the 7K shown so that should be the
right one.

Can you tell how the velcro straps help position the cup?

Not really. However, I saved the best pictures I could find
and edited them so I could see more. Email me if you want to
see them, as I don't want to put them on Flickr. The files
are quite small, and it doesn't seem worth the bother to
find another photo sharing site.

Wish that thing weren't so expensive.

The 7K does resemble the Jofa. Looks like a good deal.

Ok, got the right one now.
It looks great and looks roomy but it is still very small .
The shape is exactly right and it tucks under very well which is just
what I wanted, but there just isn't enough room!
I am fairly sure I'm no bigger than most.
Under jeans it feels good and it certainly doesnt move around. What a
shame there isnt another size bigger so nothing gets left outside!

I wonder what the Nutty buddy is like for fit? Not much chance of
finding one in the UK I think.

International Jock recommends wearing a regular jock
underneath to keep one from spilling out. I trust you tried
it that way?

The biggest size "Mongo" can fit pretty well when worn as
designed, with both a compression short and jock.

I did and it does to some extent but I would rather there was more
room in general and the sides were deeper to avoid that problem.

I just found a flickr group named Jockgear Erotica that has
several pictures of guys wearing jofas. There are also some
in the Cupped group.
