I currently take famivir daily. I I get very slight outbreaks
frequently. Almost all the time. I was diagnosed years ago. I thought
you got less outbreaks as time goes by.

There is no normal so what you are experiencing is 'normal'

There is a possibility that you are experiencing something else and
diagnosing as HSV2. Have you checked?

How would I check for something else. They did a blood test. What else
could it be?

The number of outbreaks should decrease overtime. However, diet and
your immune system could affect the number of outbreaks you have. I
would check out www.herpesisnormal.com to understand more about the
virus. It's a great website with up to date information on HSV
research of potential cures and vaccines. It is a great site with
current information.

In addition, a member at www.herpes-coldsores.com started using oil of
oregano p73, which helped cut back on the outbreaks.
