Not including the Interferon in the mix, once one feels any pain from
their liver and perhaps they do not care to ingest any laboratory
derived substance into their body, can they get a prescription for Mary?

This is up to your doctor. Before asking, find out if it's even legal in
your state/province.
Otherwise, you'll have to get your pot the way most everyone else does.
Peg-ifn/riba does not typically, if ever, cause pain in the liver.

Keeps you from wanting to barf and gives you a sense of well-being, a
release of pleasure from the treatment: I have a neighbor who had
chemotherapy (which included Interferon treatment.)

I smoked pot throughout treatment for the nausea side-effect, it worked
marvellously and I'd recommend it over any other drug.

My doctor refused. He said if I ever needed a liver transplant, that I
would be denied if they found THC in my system. So I did it anyway.
