bring kickback / haptic feedback back into android via Tablet

As a android user since cupcake I've come to rely on and use the kickback and tactile vibration of these phones...they serve a true purpose...
However my first tablet the original Amazon kindle fire had no vibration. Now the Grouper (nexus 7) has no kickback.
What gives? I want feedback from my tabley devices. I understand difficulty in spreading vibration evenly and uniformly through a big tablet but I still want some feedback from the device.
