The surgeon implanted the Nucleus Freedom implant in my left ear on March
22. I will have the Nucleus 5 processor hooked up starting on April 17.
Apparently, Cochlear had a voluntary recall on their Nucleus 5 implants last
October as some of the electrode arrays stopped working. This is why my
hospital stopped using the Nucleus 5 implant.
