lets say someone writes you an E-mail, myspace message, or yahoo
message etc. But the messages they always write you are very long and
wordy like say there never less than four paragraphs. Would you have a
hard time reading and responding or understanding what that person
wrote to you because of your dyslexia?

Yes you are right, it is very hard to read a long sentence when you have
dyslexia.
My advice is to let the people know that you are dyslexic and ask them to
keep it short

This really does depend on what causes your dyslexia.

If you have a problem processing large chunks of text this would
suggest that you have one or more of ther auditory causes of dyalexia,
and you have problems processing large chunks of language either
textual or verbal,

I find that if I copy and past these messages into my word processor
and re format the text into more manageable chunks this helps.

I use change the colours of the font to divide up senstances and
paragraphs,
you can alkso add extra sapcing or start each new senence on a new
line. The variations are endless and you can makwe waht changes you
likie on your word processor.

best wishes

Let me explain my reasons for asking and again I hope I do not offend
anyone. I have this friend who has several times written this guy she
likes and the only time he has ever responded is with a one sentence
answer that from what I thought was a sentence that was worded in kind
of an unusual way. I told her I thought he might be dyslexic because
this female friend of mine when she writes letters she writes LETTERS,
the E-mails are very very long, she will send a yahoo message and its
several lines, or if its an E-mail the E-mail is usually about four or
five paragraphs long. I do not know if in fact this man she is writing
is dyslexic he plans to become a navy seal. But what I told her was I
thought maybe that he was dyslexic and was not able to read the things
she had written to him. I just thought he might be dyslexic because on
his myspace its mostly pictures, and from what she has told me he has
never seen him read something, then respond back to her with anything
longer than a sentence.

People with dyslexia can read, their brain just can't process what
they read properly. Dyslexia has nothing to do with how this person
writes his letters. He's a guy. Not all guys like to write. Please do
your research first before assuming he has dyslexia. My daughter has
it and it is so much more than what you think.
