I think lots of people check in every day but for whatever reason
there aren't many of us posting right now.

I check in every day and reply to almost everything and I am trying to
post once a day just to say hi so people at least get one thing to
read. My topics are pretty lame though *grin*

So, what's new? How are you doing? Things are going very well for me
lately. I have a lot of clients, both kids are doing well in school
and I'm doing fun stuff for myself. AH.... finally I have my life
back!! :)

Unfortunately, I know lots of asd people aren't doing very well right
now :(

I worry that the quietness could be permanent this time. Usenet groups seem to have a "tipping point" where they rapidly fade after traffic falls below a certain threshhold. My impression has been that asd has been hovering just above its tipping point the last couple of years - especially when the relative lack of newcomers is taken into account. Too many blogs, online forums, etc. out there now competing with Usenet. For every newbie who would discover asd there would probably be a dozen who discover e.g. the Psychology and Mental Health Forum (which has an active DID sub-forum which regularly attracts new posters). I'd hate to see them go the way of the dinosaurs, but Usenet groups in general are an endangered species in today's internet world.

I would agree but I can't see the appeal of the other places. ASD
seems to work very well in what it does and I have never found another
place that works this way. My assumption is that it is harder and
harder for people to find ASD in the first place :(

I suppose that's possible, but I will continue to hope.
