had a carpal tunnel repair surgery. nerve under too mush pressure. not
expecting this to happen so a bit overwhelmed. cannot use right, my
hand of choice, hand for 4 weeks.
i have been here reading and caring about everyone but typing left
handed is too right brained for me.the hand, wrist and arm were
bothering me for awhile but then i carried in 5 grocery bags , filled
bags, on my right arm and the ligament said too too much. hence the
surgery. anybody out there have the same surgery?

I haven't had the honor of RSI surgery, though I occasionally have to
move my mouse from one side of the keyboard to the other to let an arm
recover. (I'm using the mouse left-handed at the moment, which is
okay, since I'm ambi-mousetrous.)

Get well soon!

Take care,

I had carpal tunnel surgery about 7 years ago on my right hand. My
left one was my dominant hand until I was 12 and had a huge cyst
removed which damaged the nerves so much I had to switch permanently
to the right one. When I had the CT surgery I had forgotten what a
pain it is to only have one functioning hand, so many things were
such a challenge and soooo frustrating! It did heal pretty fast
though. unfortunately I also have diabetic neuropathy so the doc was
not sure if the surgery would help much because no way to know how
much of the problems were due to CT and how much the other...even
though the surgery itself was a success I got little relief from
symptoms so I opted out of the CT surgery on my left hand. I hope
your doing well and that your recovery is quick and you have a
positive result.
