my t told me how to get free newsgroup access using thunderbird. here
is the exact way i set it up and it works and i will be able to post
from thunderbird or from google. woo woo. it has been so long since i
used the old newsgroup visual setup that i have to mess around with it
just to get comfy with the way it works. but i have it. and it's free.
so here is the info...

Open Thunderbird. Choose Tools. Choose Account Settings. Click Add
Account.
Choose Newsgroup account, Next. Put any name in Your Name.
In Email address I put "us...@domain.invalid" Not sure if this is
necessary, but it works.
Left rest of Reply empty.
In Server Settings, I put Server Name as 194.110.252.16 and Port 119.
I checked Ask me before downloading more than 500 messages.
Clickedk OK, and it works.

i did this exactly and it works. so if you don't want to pay for
usenet or can't afford to pay for it here is how to have it free.

hope this works for you.

hope it isn't something that will end up getting you in trouble or
anything, like stealing service. no clue what it is using to connect
you. would make me nervous that it might suddenly go away. but guess
if it is free, then having it for as long as you have it is a bonus.

it is working. t wouldn't tell something illegal. also wouldn't tell
something that could create problems for us. know you have been told
stuff of him but source has very broken comprehension. t isn't
irresponsible. not being grumpy, ok? just cause we know it isn't
right. broken person took many behaviors and made them look ungood.
that is all.

this is an isp in the ukraine, may be deliberately set up to allow open
access to newsgroups. i would be cautious if you do any online banking
or things like that, not to do so while you are connected to that news
server, as there is a possibility they may be using this service to try
and hack peoples computers.

wasn't about broken person. just leery of blind access codes leading
to unknown servers.

oh. ok. thanks for saying this. is always a thing in the back of my
head that i can't shake loose of cause i know different in so many
way.

yes, unknown computer stuff is risky. probably cause of a stupid dl we
did that caused computer to freeze completely. was two incompatible
antivirus programs and they crashed everything. will be careful not to
do that again. but pretty much trust t about computer stuff. he is
always fiddling with computers.

lol. worst company ever. had a friend who worked for them for a few
months, contract work writing code. she despised the place. said they
always chose the lowest common denominator of solutions then had to
hire ppl like her to fix their stupid choices.
yeah, thrpsts make mistakes like everyone else. mine has done some. no
doubt about it. thanks for reminding me. ;-)

thank you for this information. i will also pass it on to the t. he
may already know who it is or where it's from. he does a lot of work
with international stuff in social work so i don't know where he got
it from. but i will also be very careful about not having it open when
i'm doing anything that could be a risk. thanks. it's good to know ppl
who know stuff like this. :-)

i just know how to look things like that up. i didn't actually look up
the organization, which is ISP Telesweet, Sumy, UA. i do know that there
are a lot of organized crime agencies that are now using the internet to
try and steal peoples information and money.
