is the term our neighbours have unanomously decided, best describes us!

No... we're not being paranoid here! ;O)

Everyday for 'bout a month now.... the neighbours have been lining up their
lawnchairs (6-8 of them) on our lawn.... to sit and laugh at me,
Yellin' at me that "i'm outa my mind" "i'm totally cr*zy"...
They have even taken to polling passers-by.. asking their opinion of my
san*ty...

The honour was bestowed today and we accepted with a modest curtsy..
>
Yup... we started a new "pass your time" project....
and since its unanomous .. I guess, it is a little cr*zy...
>
We decided that the house that we live in needs painting...
The house is only 'bout 100 yrs old.. but is quite architectually elaborate
and unique for the neighbourhood..... most of which is hidden behind tons of
paint....

We are not working very hard at all... and usually play ourselves out after
a couple of hours...

Inch by inch we is burnin'/scrapin'/sandin'
away a century of paint....
With patience of (what's his name) in a month we've completly de-painted the
first floor front, the wrap around porch, beams, arches, railings and
ballasters...

We're getting a lot of oooo's and aaaaa's from the audience these days.....
Even had a couple seldom seen neighbours actually come and thank us for
increasing their property's value.... (really wish they didn't do that
though..... least the other neighbours usually know better than to talk to
us!!)
>
I guess what really makes this cr*zy.. is that I really will get nothing out
of it!<shrug>

As I've mentioned before... we live in the rented cellar/workshop of the
house...
Oh....The house owner is among the many voices in the audience.... >shrug<

J/c> who figures sie will only manage about an hour a day, climbing ladders
and stuff while we do the second floor and balcony...

P.s. oh... the neighbours may think we are cr*zy but they's got no problem
leaving their kids for us to look after.... >shrug<

I have an artist friend who re-painted her entire house as - well - a
kind of painting. That is, every gingerbread detail was lined out in a
separate brilliant color. It looks kind of like a giant cuckoo clock. It
is fantastic. Then she planted a garden that even a Prince w/a magic
sword couldn't hack his way through, beginning w/a thorny rose trellis
you have to duck under to get to the front door. Her initials, which she
regularly signs by? "MAD"

Hey J/c....Maybe painting someone else's house _is_ a form of lunacy, but you
seem to be enjoying it, so if I may...I'll give you an A+ for effort. Enjoy!!!

Hehehe
Fortunately... colour choice is not ours!!

Apparently though... the neighbours have harr*ssed the house owner
sufficiently... that he has surrendered on his unimaginative choice to paint
it all >ugh< white.... the choice is now up to the much more creative and
imaginative SO

Now the neighbours' plan is to collect up their books on historical
colours... so that they can have some suggestions for the ever so busy SO!
hehehe

Fortunatly for usses also.... we already got 2 gingerbread type houses on
the block.... phew!

We's got one of those garden jungle keepers right next door...
We's gotta crawl/climb/squeeeeze through it, to get to one side of the
house.... and we don't wanna damage the plants...

You're painting your house w/eggs? Or just dying it like an egg? Or
making it a giant F*berge egg? Sorry - we reaaaalll confused, given all
the fine possibilities. Could you kind of help us along - or at least
add fuel to the metaphorical fire - (what w/all this talk of eggy
sulphur and all)?

Sounds as if you have a major opportunity on your hands. Considering
what you've already accomplished in miniature - we can only imagine ...
Until you start telling us, that is (hint, hint, hint).

Well... this is a little OT.. but we did have a rather neat event happen
when we first started..
Thought you'd like to hear about it....

I was really just setting up...lookin' around for the best place to start...

When all of a sudden, a bird fell outa the air and landed at our feet...

It was a mature downy woodpecker... and sie was definitely injured... sie
flopped and floundered all over the yard.. :o(

We was worried about Big Red seein' hir... so we scrambled through the
jungle garden next door(cuz we knew we'd find somthing there) and found an
old broken birdcage... which we placed over the bird....
Oh... Big Red is the feral cat who's home we're renovating... (He sleeps and
eats on the porch)

We soon determined that the poor bird had no use of hir feet nor legs :o(

So..o.o usses and the neighbourhood kids decides we has to nurse it back to
health...

Yup... we gots us an eyedropper fill it with maple syrup or apple juice and
fed the surprisingly tranquill little birdy in our hand fer 4 days... :o)

By the end of the fourth day sie had full use of one foot and partial use of
the other.... :o)

Sie decided sie was well enough and flew off with hir friends.... >VBG<

We glad birdie okay. We tells sx of birdie downy woodpecker by whether
it has red spot on back of head - red, yes male, no red, yes female.
Easy peasy.

i like that title. :)

i think it suits you wonderfully. they obviously have a
great respect for you, and much greater than usual
understanding of your state of mind. *g*

i have a friend whom i'm pretty sure is multiple, though i
just figured it out recently, and he kinda reminds me a
little bit of you. given many of his favorite pastimes, i
have a sense that his "mains" might be female, more often
than not. i'm working with him a little bit (i don't want
to seem condescending and know-it-all...) about being
multiple and accepting ourselves as we are, and saying it's
ok to be who we are and stuff. it's cool.

:)

i like my friend.

Hey Illusia

We most certainly remember you....
We smiled broadly when we saw that you were posting here again...
We read all-l-l of your stuff! :o)
>
We thinks you would REALLY love this house..
What we discovered under all that paint was truely unexpected.....
Originally... quite a bit of the porch was simply varnished...exposing the
warmth of the wood grain and joinery craftmanship....
It must have been a really beautiful building!

To those that are interested, we did a bit of research... and found that
while everyone else in the community were building 3 story brick or
Carpenter Victorian style homes this guy(an arcitect btw) builds an
Art_and_Craft... 2 story Craftman's Bungalow..... (hope the historical
society don't come by while we're out there)

To fit in with the neighbourhood as frank_lloyd_wright thought the
Arts_and_Craft houses should... it appears this guy used the colors of the
wood grain for hir palet...

The wood being Fir, has colours ranging from near yellow to near red.....

Sorry folks..... ain't no way.... no how....is this gurl goinna paint a
house ORANGE!!!!
Even if we could actually restore the wood!
Nope!! no way!

Thank you for the sunflowers, Illusia :o)

Ya know.. I can't remember how we made those txt flowers ... but we do
remember sendin' them! :o)

Wel-l-l-ll-l-l actually...... they've been makin' life pretty difficult for
us over this last week!!

It appears they was h*ckling us for a more selfish reason than we first
thought... and much to their embarrasment and our chagrin, they have been
coming to us to apologize for their behaviour!

Like.... talk about overstepping the boundries!!
They certainly don't understand it but they do know that talking to them
makes me sick!

Then, we gots to hide the fact that we's getting sick.... cuz iffen they see
that ... they'd think we hurt ourselves...
Then they'd want us to explain!
But..... we don't wanna be sick!

We moved our work up to the second floor today....
Ooooh... is it peaceful!!!
A few days of this and we should be healthy again! :o)
