Gravity. This is what pulls things down so nothing floats around
or flies off the earth. The sun is very big and is pulling on
the earth but the earth has gravity too and is moving so it circles
around and around the sun but never flies away or bumps into it.
This is all a very good thing as it means we are just the right
distance from the sun for us to live comfortably. :)
