New Haven, invites entries for the Fall 2002 through summer 2003
academic year. The exhibition is open to artists in the northeast
region and the entries must be original and completed within the last
three years. Submissions of two and three dimensional works including
oil, watercolor, acrylic, drawings, mixed-media, graphics,
photography, digital imaging, and sculpture are welcome. The gallery
is approximately 506 square feet. Maximum artwork size is seven
feet. Each artist must submit up to twelve 35mm slides (cardboard or
plastic mount, no glass mounts) of works. Artist's submission packet
should include slide list, resume', artist's statement or philosophy
of art, SASE, one color or B&W slide for exhibition promotion (slide

June 30, 2002 DOGNY - America's Tribute to Search and Rescue Dogs is a
public art project to benefit Search and Rescue Dog organizations
throughout America. Sculptures of a Search and Rescue Dog will be on
public display this summer in New York City and auctioned at the end
of the year. Each fiberglass sculpture will be painted by a local
artist whose design was selected by a sponsor for inclusion in the
exhibition. Artists are invited to submit design proposals for how
they would paint a DOGNY Search and Rescue Dog sculpture. In addition
to the excellent exposure that will result from involvement in this
highly publicized program, artists whose designs are selected by a
sponsor and who complete a sculpture for the exhibition will receive
an honorarium of $750.00. All net proceeds from DOGNY will be donated
to professional and volunteer Canine Search and Rescue organizations
throughout the United States through The American Kennel Club
Companion Animal Recovery Corporation Canine Support and Relief Fund,
