thanks for the tip daak,
i am sort of computer illiterate at this point but i do have a friend
with a scanner so it is possible once i get my act togeter and take some
quality pictures--isn't kodac's picture cd another option? i guess you
don't have too many options in the way of cropping that way.
Has anyone out there put there work on an artists web site?  what was
your experience--good or bad?  did you sell anything?  what sites are
good and what ones aren't?
s

I've put my paintings on an artists site.  The place is:
www.theartistcolony.com
When you arrive, click on "gallery"; then on "M"; then on "Mike Murach".  Here I have a small sampling of my work.  Unfortunately, I haven't sold any yet.

Hi Sheila, I too am a disabled artist & I want to encourage you to get your
art out there. Post your art in newsgroups that share your interest &
medium. Other artists will give you feedback on your art that you will find
very valuable in helping you to decide what to post on your own website.
They'll also answer questions you may have about putting your art on the
web. I regularly participate in 3 art related newsgroups & it's the positive
feedback I get that keeps me producing more pictures. Check out my art at
the link below.

I am computer illiterate. i would need help from a friend to get my
stuff online and i don't think i am quite ready for that--yet. i paint
in oils acrylic and sometimes tempera and i sculpt in papier mache and
bread. it is hard to describe my work. i do a lot of Goddess images
and almost all my work is figurative. if i were to pick famous artists
who i think my work is similar to in spirit i would pick dubuffet, klee.
spero--and others but they aren't as famous.
i would be interested if people have experiences with putting there work
online how that went--or even about how it feels to show your work for
the first time. people here don't seem to want to open up but i would
really love to hear about other disabled artists.
