On topic or off topic??

Every year the same issue comes up.

I am out of the evacuation zone but these
storms enter the Gulf.

The I say why the hell do I stay here.

When you get in my condition it is very hard to
pickup snd leave. Many issues not presented here.

I have asked Mona to packup and visit her son
in Austin. I must just ride it out.

Most of us do face real world issues and deal
with them.
I do understand I am on a list to be checked
on later.

This is off-topic, of course, but most of us don't care about that when it
comes to the support part of ASD.

Apparently the same issues do, yes. When I was horrified when I arrived here,
I was told it was & had been like that for many years.

If you are in the path of a storm & you send Mona to her son's, I'm going to
be worried about you the whole time.

However, I understand complications & it is your choice, so I will send
prayers & hope & good vibes your way.

I hate hurricanes. Living through Camille nearly killed me.

Please be safe Guy. I will be hoping for the best for you and Mona.
Take care.

Maybe he feels like Harry Truman when Mt. St. Helens went, or maybe he
wants to make sure the looters don't clean him out. I just hope he's
safe.

Let Mack assume things. His window on me is so limited.

Maybe more than he thinks.

Cheri, you are too nice to this old bum.

We all create an image here but a few have access to more than one
computer. I do try to sell better attitudes to a few and want better
medical care for all, but it will be of no value to me.

Mack, please*** so often you have firm opinions without any facts.

You will do better if you take care of your own problems and post
good diabetic info others can use. That was the Mack I used to
praise.

Shit happens and each person familiar with the situation are the ones
to make decisions.

I live in the path of the system but I am not the evacuation area.
I picked the area about 40 years ago. I picked this area for good
reason then.

It is it not your problem.

From your comments, it is very obvious that you know nothing about me
or my situation..

Docs have done me more harm than any hurricane.

So I have little to lose.

WE do know this area and how to deal with our own situation.

We would prefer to not have this but it has happened.

The degeneration of ASD and MHD is of more concern to me.

People could correct that very easily by acting like adults.

The risks I face are much more about the damage of diabetes
and you and I could do a lot here by acting properly.

I never had much gain by dealing with mentally ill people.
Almost always got bit in the ass.

Comment about what you know about and quit making a whole
scene out of one phrase.

May our heavenly Father keep you from physical harm that may possibly
happen because of the hurricane that you face, thereby bringing glory
and praise to His kingdom.

This I ask in Jesus' precious and holy name as one of His disciples.

Amen.

"In that day you will no longer ask Me anything. I tell you the truth,
My Father will give you whatever you ask in My name." -- Jesus to His
disciples (Matthew 16:23).

Amen.

Now Donna can stop worrying :-)

May you and other dear friends have a blessedly wonderful 2008th year

It's how we know the answer to the question "What does Jesus
want?" (WDJW):

Yes, hunger is our knowledge of good versus evil that Adam and Eve

"Blessed are you who hunger NOW...

According to the Texas officials, if you stay in an area that has been
ordered to evacuate, there will not be a later. They are predicting those
who remain behind will be killed by Hurricane Ike.

I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, which is many miles inland from where
the storm will come on land, and they are informing us to be prepared for
very high winds and torrential rains.

Get out now! If you need help, there are supposedly agencies you can call
that will help you evacuate.

How do you know that Mona's car can accomodate his wheelchair, and
that she can find a shelter that accomodates people in wheelchairs?

Is Guy in Houston or Galveston? I can't remember, but damn I do hope
he left. Last I heard they were getting special needs people out, even
using dump truck to transport them, but the window was small at that
time. I hope he listened and rethought his plan. :-(
