Circulatory problems in legs FYI

Because of a past injury and surgeries my hb had only 1 artery working
in one leg. He developed chronic osteomyelitis which caused a non
healing wound in the same leg. To help with healing he tried Hyperbaric
Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). It helped some with wound healing but lo and
behold, the 2 dead arteries in the leg began working with good
circulation. We knew about the 2 non working arteries for 7 years and
had no idea that HBOT would help with that.

Yes it can, but I don't think it is consistent enough to be used instead
of revascularization.

There is a new Australian treatment where they put a shunt into the
femoral and hype oxygenate the blood, pumping it through the leg under
some extra pressure
it causes growth of secondary blood supply and reduces the load on the
blocked arteries. MAJOR net increase in blood flow to the foot (and
points in between)
