Grrr! The current issue features another Dr. Oz article. I am sooo sick of
that man! The article has a diet that will let you lose 7 pounds per week
and in 7 months will cure diabetes among other things. Grrr!

I just skimmed it. The bulk of the diet is raw vegetables, then I think it
is cooked greens and fruit. Then beans. Then whole grains. Then chicken
and fish. Nuts and seeds are allowed. Can't remember if dairy and eggs are
but probably. Red meat and sweets are not allowed. They claim that anyone
can follow this diet with no struggles. Riiiiight. And there is no way
this could cure diabetes. Grrr!

Then it is a non-issue, and everything is right with the world.

I do too. And I think he has had plastic surgery. His pics drive me nuts.
Skin all crinkly around his eyes and yet his forehead and around his mouth
are totally smooth.

Before I knew any better I tried some of his tips. Ran out and bought
supplements that he recommended. They did nothing for me. Didn't lower my
cholesterol, cause me to lose weight or whatever else he said they would do.
And one supplement had so many cautions on it, that I couldn't even bring
myself to take it.

You've stated a dislike of people before based on how they look.

So this has nothing to do with anything except your resentments.

I'll bet it is Botox or surgery.

What's wrong with that, particularly if your eeployment depends on it. I
can fully understand why performers use face surgery or
Botox as it enables them to continue using their talents tht woudl be
closed to them if thye actually had to look their age. I thik of Angela
Lndsbury as a prime example. she has been able to continue as a great
actress into her 80's with, I am sure, plastic surgery. More power to
her.

Wendy-who has no thoughts of using it for herself:-)

What's wrong with it, IMO is that rather than make the person look better,
it just makes them look strange.

I don't know about Angela Lansbury. I remember her in Murder She Wrote, but
I don't know that I've seen her in anything beyond that.

Dr. Oz isn't all that old. I think he might be younger than me. But all of
the crows feet that he has makes him look old and that is in stark contrast
to the blankness of the rest of his face. Does not look normal. There's
another guy who has that same look but now his name escapes me. Has or had
(not sure if it is still on) an afternoon show where his guests seem to
always scream at each other about things like affairs. He seems to take
great delight in stirring them up, sitting there grinning like an idiot
while they go at each other.

I did just look up Angela Lansbury.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angela_Lansbury

Does not appear to have had plastic surgery but I'm no expert.

There's so much of that crap on daytime TV that it's hard to know which one
it is. They all stink IMO.

Angela Lansbury recently appeared in a Broadway show, performng in 8 show
a week.

I don't know Dr Oz as I neither watch him on TV nor read about him in
magazines. I think the guy you are talking about twith that awful sho is
Maury Povich. He is still on, I sometimes pass him when changing
channels.

Indeed! I just remembered his name. It's Bill Cunningham. I looked him up
to see an old picture. That's how bad his face is. He used to be a radio
host. I don't usually watch daytime stuff but we did like Dr. Drew's
Lifechangers. He was on at that hour. But his show is off now and that
other guy is on. I had the habit of putting the TV on then taking a shower.
I'd come out and he would be on and I would have to stand there dripping and
listening to him for a few minutes.

Now with the Jodi Arias stuff, I have HLN on all the time. But today we are
watching in horror about OK. That's where my dad is from and we have
relatives on both sides of the family there. My cousin's in-laws are among
the missing at the moment.

No but a lot of screaming goes on, on his show too. I used to like him and
also Jerry Springer. Both used to have good shows. They are not good now.
I remembered the name of the guy I referred to. It's Bill Cunningham.

Everyone is fine but my cousin's in-laws have a damaged home. They fear
looters so have to stay in it. They had to rent a generator.
