AMA.... The goal was to standardize medicine and stop the quacks.  Has it worked
as intended or has it only allowed better educated quacks to gain a strangle
hold on the American economy?  There was a rumor of a health diagnostic program
on the internet or at least available for medical staff to use.  Might we be
better off if we could use such a program?  It might take some of the pressure
off over worked medical personnel.  Think about it.  Granted I am thinking in
terms of people in general being honest and not drug seekers or hypochondriacs?

Maybe the drug seekers should be allowed the drugs they seem to seek, as long as
they all live in a controlled environment where they can not harm others.  Sort
of a commune for the air heads where they must do the basic farming and
gardening to feed themselves, build and maintain shelter, create some sort of
product to sell to have the money to pay for what they can not produce.  Maybe
these folks should also agree to have no offspring, so no child is at risk of
abuse by drug abusing parents.  I am not sure on this topic.  I am not a fan of
recreational drug use for me.  What another wishes to do their own body is their
concern as long as they harm no others.

The doctors of the early times of this country were not all that wealthy.  Maybe
a local community needs to support its own basic medical center.  Provide
housing, clinic space and an annual income for the medical personnel.

There were no insurance companies to play games with rates on care during the
settlement of this country.  Some insurance might be a good idea, but have we
become slaves to the insurance business?  Has insurance become a hindrance
rather than an aide?  Have our lawyers become too busy making money rather than
holding the law?

I am basically a capitalist, but I also believe some 'services' should be under
control of the government for the freedom of all.  Gasoline tax pays to the
government to be used to maintain roadways for every one to use.  I am not sure
what should be taxed to provide health care for all.  Perhaps it should be part
of the land and building tax.  Then all pay it in some form, even renters.

Just some odd thoughts on my mind today.
