Subject: advice wanted about depressive symptoms
Hi all. I will try to keep this brief: I have been depressed for many years. I have taken a lot of the anti-depressants avaiable here in the UK: prozac, effexor, paxil, zoloft etc.. But with little positive effect on the symptoms of my depression. I will list the main symptoms as: 1) No sexual feelings at all. 2) no hunger pang sensations felt, even after not eating more many days 3) feeling dead inside 4) inablity to concentrate for longer than about 5 minutes 5) severe ocd 6)insomnia 7)general lack of feeling pleasure in life 8)lack of energy. even when i have the motivation to do something, kind of like having a car with no gas in it..  Oddly enough my actual mood itself is not that negative, and people often find it hard to belive I am depressed.
There are other symptoms, but these are the main ones. Also I will wlecome any other thoughts and techniques as to causes of action which have helped other people with symptoms of depression similar to mine. Bearing in light I only have UK medicines available, can someone suggest which medication they feel will help me the most? (but i might be able to buy American meds privately).  Thanks.

You sound a lot like me. SSRIs do nothing for me. You might give
Bupropion a try. I take 450mg day. I'm still not where I want to be
but it's better than nothing. Provigil (Modafinil) is a good addon.

Does anyone here have any experience with Selegiline (Anipryl,
L-deprenyl, Eldepryl, Emsam, Zelapar) ?

Those meds will mess you up.
Try some vitamin C and D,,,and maybe some trace minerals. And  fresh
fruit and greens like salads with raw bell peppers and spinach (vitamin
K).
Once you start with those things you fall into
a trap.
