zardos... you may not remember me, but i think i know you....

alas, i shall not go by my old name ever again, so you may figure me out, but you may not.

i am here in alt-land for i am bipolar and have ptsd...(seen waving)

i have been on most drugs. been in too many hospitals...

if you're cool... and you just want to hang... (yes, i'm in california) that's what i'm looking for. i'm a nice, reasonable person who's had an interesting life.

additionally, i have chronic pain..i get migraines (who doesn't)... and have cervical spondylosis and cervical dystonia... all for which i receive injections...some kind of lithium induced thyroid disorder (i have occasional thyroiditis accompanied by hyperthyroidism—yes, i know this doesn't sound like lithium—but it is! if anyone knows about lithium induced pseudo autoimmune disorders affecting the thyroid, i'd love to know)... lithium induced kidney damage... (i was on lithium for... i think seventeen years)... abdominal migraines (whoo hoo... yes, i just wrote whoo, hoo)...

i am no longer on a mood stabilizer. i have been dysphorically hypomanic lately (sorry if i'm a lousy bitch)... and seem to be better with more haldol.. not much, but more than before. i have only been hypomanic twice in the last eight years (my shrink did not even think i was bipolar for a long time... i had a lot of misdiagnoses)... (before eight years ago, i was crazy crazy... but seem to have just grown into the depression side of things) so after finding out about the kidney damage... and knowing that basically no other mood stabilizer besides lithium does it for me... i decided to go without... and seem to be doing okay. my husband calls haldol, my "happy" pill... i'm only taking 1mg/2x day... but it does make him a lot easier to tolerate. i love him, but you know...

i love my shrink, had him for eight years...but he was just laid off as the place he worked for filed for bankruptcy. ha ha ha. :P... so am in the process of getting a new one. have a name, but whatever.

now, the most fun part is over. i have introduced myself... and shall get on with it.

a

p.s. my husband just said i shouldn't write anything at night. unfortunately, most of my time here may be spent talking about him.

Hi a.w.

Due to kidney effects, I'm in the process of getting off lithium
after 21.5 years on it, and getting on divalproex instead.
I'm also on 10 mg olanzapine/day.
