That *is* a good question, all racism aside.

Aren't whites supposed to be proud of their heritage also or are we
supposed to live in
shame indefinitely because of the events of 300 years ago that we had
*nothing* to do
with at all?

A comedian named Mancina did an entire riff on this, using it to
explain why racism is increasing in America. I think the bit went;
"You see a bumper sticker that says; Black Power you think of Martin
Luther King and Malcom X leading the fight for equality. You see a
bumper sticker that says; Brown Power and you think of Ceaser Chavez
and the fight for migrant worker rights. You see a bumper sticker that
says; White Power and you ask; "Why is that guy a racist?"

How about 50 or 60 years ago when blacks were still being denied equal

You mean post WWII? How the fuck
is that relevant now?

Still, most people who are responding to or reading these posts had
nothing to do with
any of it. I sure as hell don't feel responsible nor do I feel I owe
them anything.

Not surprising. You're a moron. Moron's aren't responsible for their
actions.

Only a dim bulb like Tom Evans would assume I was around about in
the late 1600's or so during the golden age of slavery.

Maybe Tom's great -great grandaddy was sold on the auction block?
Nah, if Tom is a good representation, the Evans klan are waaaay too
stupid to be desirable as field hands.

Doc, That isn't a very nice thing to say. Were you born without any
manners? I mean really.
