Many people expouse that argument- that if you vote for the lesser of the evils, you're still voting for evil... (and I don't mean "evil" liteerally, I mean it figuratively.) But I contend that the bottom line is what matters in this situation... the bottom line is that either Obama or Romney will be president. If one doesn't want Romney to be president, and it's virtually certain to be a very close election, and not voting is not a viable option, and voting for a third party candidate can only help Romney, then yes, it is important to vote for the lesser "evil", Imo...

no, he isn't missed. what you mean is, "i miss him." so if you
understand why and it's worth something to you, quit being such a putz
and make an effort to change.

Nevertheless, English speaking people use it, so it's a word. It may
well end up in the dictionary, not unlike words like "refudiate" so, it
can become a real word what is used by educated people in nuanced repart.

Seriously now. How many years of formal education have you had? If you
never made it out of grade school, I'll start cutting you some slack on

it can't even be called a tiny bit of a good thing in any respect at
all. it's a term of contempt, and has never been anything but that in
past or present usage.

Most of the money comes from the federal gummint. The insurance
companies don't pay for floods (you have to get it through FEMA), the
states don't have enough because of already cutting budgets to the bone
and laying off most of the maintenance department and hiring private
contractors. Most private individuals don't have fix-up money just
laying around - they'll have to borrow. The banks don't like to loan
because they prefer to put federal bailout money into bonuses and
acquisitions and nice boardroom and lobby woodwork and whatnot. So
it'll be an economic stimulus paid for by the taxpayer - commie socialism.

If I were a patriotic conservative janitor, I wouldn't take a penny of
that. And I won't work for free. We should let private investors (and
charitable organizations) work their magic like in New Orleans.

yay!
