Now that you've got a faster computer and faster internet, you can try
this:

It's a tab editor and composition program. It will play the stuff
through midi too. There's thousands of tabs made in it already on usenet
and limewire too. Easy to learn songs. You can slow them down to
practice solos and stuff. If you try it and like it, I can make it full
version.

K. I just use it like tabs. I wouldn't write anything in it unless I had
a midi guitar and could just play it into it and save it. I get tabs and
play along with it. That's how I learned the solos on Machinehead.
