Who reads all these posts
As I am sitting here marking posts I have skipped over as Read, I am wondering if there is anyone here that actually reads every post put up here. I also need to read only the first two, maybe three paragraphs of a post before I can not finish it unless it about me,of course. This is why I try to write short paragraphs and quick thoughts so others... more »

Stim Operaqtion
Just got home from the hospital. All went well the surgery. They said they were going to give me a local anesthesia but but what ever they used put me out worked well. Don't get me wrong, I was not looking for to being even semi-conscious during any part of it. Now, if you'll excuse me I'm going to get something to eat, I'm not into fasting.... more »

Gawds, Another Apology
I can't even blame this one on pain, I got my prescriptions (not anything new or different as I was hoping for - what's the big deal about changing a med, *NOT* the strength, just the type of med for a while to see if it is any more effective since your body isn't used to it??!). Idiot PA prescribed the Lidoderm - *ONE* patch twelve hours on twelve hours... more »

OT: Let's see how old you are
Now be honest - How many for these lines have you heard? I can tell you I have heard most of them. I used to get in trouble for taking my shoes off at school to go out to the play ground. What got me in trouble was forgetting to take them home. I wish I had never heard of castor oil. I wish I had a nickle for every bucket of water I had to draw from the... more »

things aren't so good in my life. (for the last 1 1/2 years) i pretend they are OK by posting, but they aren't. i don't know what i was thinking by trying to be a 'normal' member in a group. i am NOT. my life is REALLY BAD right now <and i'm not talking about my pain>. i can only reach out so far, and the door is warped.... more »

Stopping my Anti-depressant, yikes!
Aloha All! As some (or most) of you know, I've been an "off again, on again" type of member/supporter/friend for pretty much the entire time I've been here. About the only times I've ever posted anything original is when I have a news article or something done by someone else that I think will benefit somebody. As far as I can remember I haven't really asked... more »

Do You Think This Will Work
Last Friday DH (Dear Husband or Dick Head, depending on my mood) and the counselor teamed up against me to try to make me start taking the Cymbalta/Lyrica combo (or at least, for just now, the Cymbalta). So... I went to the web site [link] and I printed out the "side effects" pages for Cymbalta, Lyrica, Oxycodone, and Fentanyl.... more »

For those with Crohn's
67% of the participants achieving remission is not bad at all, with the only reported side effect being some disturbance in their sleep, generally only during the first week. [link]

The "Headache from Hell"
My name for Occipital Neuralgia. I'd been fighting to abort it, as I could feel it coming on, but by Saturday I knew I wasn't going to win. Luckily my doctor has me keep a stash of cortocosteroids here, and I have Ambien, if needed, for sleep. And I can take a prescription NSAID, to also help with... more »
