It sounds like you and I have similar back problems. I also get
muscle spasms that are like a vice. Even when the spasms subside they
leave my back in constant pain. This has been going on for 5 years
with no end in sight. Nothing shows on an MRI or X-Ray because the
damage or problem is in the soft tissue.

Strange that a (strict) vegetarian would empower his disciples to
