Now that there is no longer any welfare to encourage big broods, you
probably won't see as many non-whites with more sprogs than they know what
to do with. The rule now is that once immigrants enter the American
mainstream and especially the middle class, they have just as few kids as
their American-born brethren, regardless of race. .

This is interesting because I have a couple of friends who are otherwise
personally rational intelligent people who have said this very same thing to
me. I find this weird and frightening. First of all the idea that the
white "race" is dying out is a myth. There are more of em' than any other
"race". ( I'm sorry, I really hate that word ) Unless you're specifically
talking about blonde haired blue eyed people that is.
If you don't believe me look it up. Second of all even if the white race
really were becoming extinct so what! There's one "race" on the planet, the
human race. People like your brother really annoy me.

I don't think welfare has much to do with it at all. It's poverty and
ignorance. The poor and uneducated outbreed the more affluent and more educated
worldwide--and the presence or absence of a welfare state doesn't seem to have
much to do with it.

I can't help but wonder what the trial coverage would have been like had the
suspects been, say, illegal aliens. The crime, the arrests, and the trial
would probably have gotten local coverage and little more. There are a lot
of hate crimes committed by minorities against minorites, but they go
largely unreported in the national media, even if they are covered by wire
services like AP. For example, just this month in Los Angeles a Jewish
school principal was beaten and hospitalized by angry Hispanics who were
upset because the mostly-Latino school their kids went to didn't also have a
Hispanic principal. It made the LA Times, but not beyond. Also this month,
a gay man in Miami was assaulted and stabbed by suspects described as
"three Hispanic women in their '20's with long, straight hair." Again, no
coverage in the mainstream media outside Miami. Obviously, there must be
such a thing as a "Politically Correct Hate Crime"

I had this exact same arguement with my parents when I told them I did not want to breed.
And their response "You're not fulfilling your evolutionary role, the country will be
overrun by asians if you don't breed and your great-grandchildren will be asian" (???)
My response "If the world becomes an Asian nation, then that's just part of the evolution
of the human race. They are much better equipped to deal with the Australian sun than I
am, anyway." You can imagine how *that* went down.... then I went on to point out to
them that most of the men I have been attracted to since my last b/f (3 years) were of a
race they would consider unacceptable for me, so they better get their mind around the
fact that I am unlikey to marry a man they would consider the "right" race. The thing
that shits me about their racism is that my stepfather survived WWII in Holland by hiding
from the Nazis (who would have recruited him for their armies) and his next-door
neighbours hid Jews in their basement (they were caught, anyway and shot at the end of the
street), so he should have some understanding of what rampant racism can lead to, but
apparently it's not the same if it's *him* being racist. GRRR

You know, under the guise of "culture", Quebec actually pays people to have
children, because they're afraid that the Anglophones will outnumber the
Francophones eventually. It isn't always color that determines the assholes

Those are the most frightening of all. The vocally militant can be spotted, and
they usually put their feet in their mouths often enough that folks don't take
them seriously. It's the straight-up, articulate, "normal" people that worry me.
They're the ones that might not do the dirty deed themselves, but they stand by
and don't do anything to stop it.

Heard this one before. I was hitching a ride over to San Diego with a group of
people I barely knew. One of them turned out to be a Nazi. He said that there
was a shortage of "healthy white babies" and it was my DUTY to carry on the
race. I said, "What if I fall in love with a Black man? I'll marry him and
there is NOTHING you can do to stop it." We argued until we hit San Diego.
Then we got out of the car and I saw this guy walk. His body was twisted up,
his gait was poor, and his skin was white as a sheet. Fine genetic example.

Studies have shown that biracial children are generally healthier than

In many European countries there is negative population growth. I've seen
some concern of some countries who have taken in a lot of refugees that with
their own countrymen not breeding the immigrants will end up outnumbering
them. I don't think any country should take in more immigrants than they
can handle but actually I don't think it's gonna be an issue since the
immigrants children will grow up to want the same lifestyle as the other
members of the country which means fewer kids.

Whether or not it matters, well, of course that's different.
I remember going to the World Cup game in Massachusetts (Italy/Spain)
and marveling at the skin tones of the thousands of people there. Truly
every color and shade possible, and very few frankly pale.
Somehow I think the Republic will survive as a coffee-colored melange.

Quebec also offers incentives for Francophones to immigrate to their
country. However, most of the takers of that offer are from former French
colonies in Africa and Asia, and after getting the cold shoulder upon
arrival, many split for another province. Apparently the Quebeqois only
want LILY-WHITE Francophones..........

Fund Set Up To Help Seven Kids After Mom Arrested
By S.U. Mahesh Journal Staff Writer
A fund has been established to help seven children of a single Santa Fe
mother who was arrested on child abuse charges after she left three of her
young children home alone. A foster mother who is caring for two of the
children said the Santa Fe County Foster Parents Association is accepting
donations.
Also, Children, Youth and Families Department officials are planning to
reunite Manuela Arreola, 27, with her seven children, ages 1 through 14,
once she is released from jail. Arreola, a Mexican national and a mother
whose husband is in jail, on Monday went to work at McDonald's on Pacheco
Street and left three of her children home alone, police said. She was
charged with three counts of child abuse.
Arreola's neighbors and friends in the low-income housing complex in the
2000 block of Hopewell Street said Arreola is a caring and loving mother who
would never hurt her children. Her only crime, they said, is that she's poor
and alone in trying to feed her children. Debbie Adams, who is caring for
two of the children since their mother's arrest, said all seven of the
children are in good health and there is no evidence of any physical abuse
or malnutrition.
On Friday, Santa Fe County Magistrate Angie Vigil Perez reduced Arreola's
bond from $50,000 cash to 10 percent of $10,000 after District Attorney
Henry Valdez said he and Children, Youth and Families Department officials
agreed to lowering it. Vigil Perez had set the bond Wednesday at $50,000
cash after the woman told the judge she had used a false Social Security
number to obtain employment and that she was not a legal U.S. resident.
Valdez said the case will be presented to a grand jury next week. "This case
has generated a lot of concern about the plight of this woman," Valdez said.
"Everybody has sympathy for a single parent who is trying to provide for her
children." Valdez said he met with Children, Youth and Families Department
officials Friday to discuss the case. "We will be working with (the state)
to ensure that whatever decisions we make in the case, we will certainly
consider the welfare of the children," Valdez said.
Adams, who also is the co-chair of the Santa Fe County Foster Parents
Association, said her nonprofit agency is planning to pay $1,000 to bail
Arreola out of jail. However, the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization
Service put a hold on her Friday. INS officials could not be reached for
comment. Arreola remained in jail Friday evening.
Adams said it's unfair for Arreola to still be locked up while her children
are separated from each other, living in several foster homes. All of
Arreola's children were born in the United States, Adams said. "(INS) will
try to deport her, but I don't know how they can do that because her
children are U.S. citizens," Adams said.
Adams said her agency will call U.S. Sens. Jeff Bingaman and Pete Domenici,
and Congressman Tom Udall asking for help with Arreola's status. Arreola was
arrested after her 6-year-old daughter, who was babysitting her siblings, 3
and 1, called 911 looking for help in finding her mother. When police went
to the apartment Monday, the children couldn't open the door from inside
because the deadbolt was broken.
