RETAINERS: In some cases a retainer may be required when significant

A monthly statement will be provided by e-mail attachment showing how

replenished as requested promptly. Missed appointments will be billed
as per their agreed schedule. In other words if you make an
appointment for a 2 hour meeting and fail to show, you will be billed
for 2 hours. If you make an appointment for a consultation you will be
billed for the day rate. If you are late billing starts at the time of
the original appointment.
Initial phone consultations on general information up to 15 minutes
will be free.
Detailed phone consults: $ 250.00 for the first 30 minutes or
fraction, $ 200 for each 30 minutes or fraction thereafter. Payment
must be in advance. Time estimates will be quoted.
Fees are payable by Cash, Money Order, Bank Check, Western Union, bank
wire transfer only. Credit cards are no longer accepted. Personal
checks will NOT be accepted unless drawn on a local bank and funds are
immediately available. In any case no work shall commence until funds
are available. (Bank HOLD policies may delay provision of services.)
In every case the first $3,500 is automatically earned upon receipt
for opening case file and review of materials.
TRIALS: A flat fee can be negotiated for trials on an individual
basis. The fees negotiated for a lat rate for a trial are made with a
non refund provision. EXAMPLE: If we estimate and agree /that the
trial should take 14 days including preparation and a discounted flat
rate is agreed upon, and for any reason the trial only takes one day,
the entire fee is considered earned. The contracts typically provide a
provision that some buffer time is included if the trial goes over the
estimated time, however after the maximum number of days an agreed
upon per diem fee will be charged for additional days. Of course the
client pays all expenses. Motel, meals and the like.
REFUND POLICY: All fees (EXCEPT retainers) are refundable up to four
days prior to scheduled services. After that window there will be no
refunds, however work shall be rescheduled for agreed upon other
duties.
