Well here I am about 12 days out from being told that I made remission
but for the life of me I can not understand the pain and nausea I am
experiencing just a bit stressful to say the lest. The pain is only
slight no more than during treatment the nausea is more upsetting and I
have no real appetite I am lucky to eat once day and then only a small
amount. has anyone else here had this happen after remission?

Thanks in advance and oh yea in case you forgot

Where is the pain? That can be important. I had pains in my
back and they did a bone scan and found that it was (just)
degenerative arthritus. Still got it, but easily controlled so
far.

For me it took weeks to get the main chemo symptoms outta the
way, and months to get back to "normal". They told me that the
effects of the chemo would hit about 2 weeks after the treatment.
So, you should be just about there. Probably varies depending on
the drugs, but it takes a while to get all the chemo (poison) out
of your system. Have faith. the chemo will wear off. Try to
eat many small meals or snacks.

You are probably at the top of the hill and about ready to coast
down. Getting better is the easy part, so lay back and enjoy it.

Thanks Bob
The Pain is in the same places it was during treatment.
The Nausea is confusing I never had that with the CHEMO.
Oh well I guess I will just wait if nothing gets better after a few
weeks I will start to bug my ONC.

Any better Frank (aka stew)? and/or why wait to contact the onc ?
If a rash appears, I was just reading about shingles... (but that doesn't
include nausea IIRC)

I get pain about a week after my chemo that seems related to my
Neupogin or Neulastin shots, that are supposed to help my body build
white blood cells. The pain is located at the base of my spine and
lasts about a day. Very, very painful - I almost fall over when it
hits. It feels like my back is throbbing. Goes away though. Are you
getting any of those shots like I described?

Someday in the distant future, archeologists digging thru the ruins of
alt.support.cancer will discover that F.B. <fre...@no.email.reply.net>
had this to say on 05 Sep 2004:

I was warned about that. It is related to the Neupogen forcing white cell
growth in the marrow. Most pain will be in longer bones.
