interesting and looks like even an improvement over the PCA-3 test.
I wonder if that's the test I took. The urologist just referred to it as the
PCA-3 test. It was at the Univ. of Mich., which is where that new test was
developed. That article is 2/08. It is now 11/09. I wonder if they have
later information?

"PSA velocity = 1/2 ((PSA2-PSA1/time1inyears) +
(PSA3 � PSA2/time2inyears))
where PSA1 is the first, PSA2 the second and PSA3 the third PSA
least 3 PSA measurements obtained over 24 months are required for
optimal accuracy.
A PSA velocity exceeding 0.75 ng/ml/year is highly predictive..."
In other words, if you have a high PSA, get tested every 6 months.

Very confusing is this terminolgy:
"PCA-3" is a genetic test
"PSA3" is the third PSA test within 24 months.
