dx 5/06 BC IIIB - mastectomy / chemo / RAD
dx 6/06 ACC (form of adrenal cancer -- second primary) - surgery 7/06

Today I got smiles, hand-shakes (responded with YEAH and fist pump) at
my Oncologists office. 3-1/2 years out and clear C/T scan (NED) for
both areas. Blood work excellent (A+ claims the Nurse Practitioner)
which also shows my Diabetes II is under control.

The Doc scheduled one more 6-mo visit with C/T scan then switch to
annual visits with no more C/T scans anticipated.

Life is good.

That is wonderful news, Marcia! I hope you celebrated.

My bc was 26 years ago, and I was diagnosed with a second primary
(earliest stage endometrial) a year ago. I am also doing scans, chest
x-rays and frequent female exams for a while. I'll look forward to no
more CT's!

As my oncologist used to say, "Keep up the good work!"

Hi Eva, nice to see you posting on this group.

I've been following your bc story on asm, and it is for sure good to
hear that life for you is good. I was diagnosed with breast cancer
(ILC) after a screening mammogram and had surgery the end of October.
Life is also full of surprises. I'm already 65 so I hope my journey
will be somewhat easier.

This group was much more active in 2004-06 when I was going through
treatment, which was lucky for me as I was able to get a *lot* of support
here. Anyhow there is a lot of noise here now. I'm very sorry to hear
this happened to you, and I'll bet you had the same first reaction I
did--"But I didn't take hormones!!!!" If you want to talk I invite you to
e-mail me, just remove the "NO NO" from my reply address. Please do.
All the best, Eva
